INTRODUCE
Tian Qi

Tian Qi is an assistant designer. After graduating from a university in Fujian, he chose to come to Shenzhen with his roommate. They thought of supporting each other so that they could find help even in a strange city when they were in trouble. Tian Qi and his college roommate had very little money. Their family income was basically just enough to cover their daily expenses. Even the money they used to rent a place to help them find jobs was saved by their family. Under such circumstances, after discussing with each other, they chose a single room in Overseas Chinese New Village, Yantian District, with a monthly rent of about 1,000 yuan. If the two split it up, they only need to pay 500 yuan a month.
In the first month after arriving in Shenzhen, Tian Qi and his roomate were extremely busy. Every morning at 6 o 'clock, Tian Qi has to catch a bus to a design company in Futian for an internship, while his roommate works as a data entry clerk at a logistics company in Yantian Port. The two of them leave home early and return late. It is their daily routine to slowly get back to their rented house at 1:00a.m. Even so, they dare not turn on the air conditioner in the hottest weather in Shenzhen, which is close to 35 degrees Celsius, because they are in the internship period and really can't afford the expensive electricity bill. The turning point of the matter occurred two months. As there were no gas hoods in the rooms in the urban village, to save money, both of them used electric cooker to cook and eat, thereby reducing the cost of meals. That day, after finishing work, when the two were connecting to the electric cooker, a short circuit occurred for some reason. In an instant, the flames spread along the power cord. In a moment of panic, the two men first unplugged the power supply while the fire was on, and then rushed into the corridor to get the fire extinguisher. Only then were they horrified to find that the pressure pointer of the fire extinguisher was no longer within the range, which meant that the fire extinguisher had failed. The two could only quickly call the fire alarm number and then wait for the fire rescue. Fortunately, the urban village was not far from the fire station and the fire was put out before it could spread. But this experience also made the two realize the safety issues in the urban village. Even the safety measures explicitly stipulated by the government cannot guarantee it, let alone others. So, as soon as their internship period was over and they could receive the salaries of regular employees, they moved away from here and found a house inside the community. Although the deposit they have to bear each month has increased by 600 yuan, the security has been greatly enhanced. The property management also supervises each floor in real time, which makes the two feel more at ease.
