INTRODUCE

Xu Shaoli

Xu Shaoli is an operations assistant. Her main job is to sort out the video materials of the company's various social media platforms every day, such as copywriting, pictures, videos, etc. Besides, she also records some daily data on flows, such as sales volume, user number, interaction rate, and so on. Unlike the vast majority of employees in Shenzhen who come from other provinces, her hometown is actually in Chaoshan, Guangdong Province, which is only one to two hours' drive from Shenzhen. When asked about the reason for her going out, she said it was because in her hometown, almost all those who wanted to build their own careers would go to work elsewhere. “If I stayed in Chaoshan, I might only be able to farm or become a housewife.” She said.

Now she is married and lives with his family in a 70-square-meter house in Fanhai City Square, Nanshan District, Shenzhen. And the rent he needs to pay for a month is only 3,200 yuan, which is basically less than 20% of her monthly salary. According to her, her family chose this house because of the convenience of transportation. For her, it only takes her less than 10 minutes to walk to her company, and her husband's commuting time is only a dozen minutes by subway. She is also relatively satisfied with her current residence. This house has good lighting in a relatively dark village within the city, and the balcony is quite large, which can be used to dry many different things. However, no place can avoid its flaws. "The residents upstairs often make a lot of noise even in the middle of the night. I have reported it to the landlord, but it has not improved much. Besides, the increase in water and electricity bills is also very high. Although we have signed a contract, the current increase is indeed among the fastest in the urban area." She said. Therefore, if there are better options in the future, of course I will move out. But the current environment is still quite good overall.
